modernafricanart is an Art Gallery located in Lund, Sweden, that showcases and presents African Arts & Design in the 21st Century. Lande Anjous-Zygmunt is the owner and founder and the gallery has been in operation since 2006. Lande met her husband, Peter Zygmunt who is half-Polish and half-Swedish, while completing her MBA and he his Post-Doctorate in Pharmarcology in Manchester. They live in Sweden with their children. A few years ago, Lande took her family including all her in-laws back home to Nigeria for a visit, fell in love with the Art Scene and the idea for modernafricanart was born. Listen to Lande talk about how she thought of the idea for an Art Gallery, her vision for promoting African Arts and Design both commercially and on a cultural platform, and how she gets her artists which include some well-known names like Bruce Onobrakpeya, Ehi Obinyan, Nike Davies Okundaye, Sam Ovraiti, Muraina Oyelami, and Tola Wewe.
