Poetry - Arts & Culture
Written by Bolan Bwalya Chola, Artist & Poet

I cry because I love this dome
An inspirational and conducive place for home
The richness of a smoked culture
The admiration of the smiles of nature
A place where young ones respect their elders
And mothers take loads on their shoulders
Where boys are grown into fathers
And adult children never grow feathers
Come and make houses from bamboo
Or getting sexual in public - a taboo
My culture is rich in peace
My culture is a love portion piece
A people so much spiritual
Under one true father supernatural
Still in slavery but very happy
Ruling the world but with a tail like a scared puppy

I will be a garden-boy with my mother
Even if the want me as a king with another
